David Pilbeam

David specialises in performance coaching for individuals and teams, facilitation and organisational change. His experience in running businesses and educating leaders enables him to help people to build on their strengths in order to raise their performance and deliver results. 

His approach has been described as challenging, motivating and pragmatic. He uses a positive, strengths based approach in his work. He is naturally supportive and encouraging but never shy of asking the tough questions. 
 With a calm, thoughtful style, he goes to great lengths to ensure the principles that underpin consistent, high performance at work are understood and made relevant for everyone.

With more than 10 years’ experience of developing leaders, one-to-one coaching and team coaching, he has:

  • worked with renowned author and presenter Tom Peters to deliver change projects for multinational companies across Europe and USA

  • worked with business leaders across a variety of business contexts and locations. This includes working with more than 30 organisations, 100 leaders and 1000 hours of coaching
  • coached teams within large and small organisations in order to raise performance

  • trained coaches in a number of different business sectors

He has a strong business background having held a number of management roles and worked as an Operations Director in the Leisure Sector. This includes being part of 4 person executive team that founded a business in 1993 and sold for £24m in 1999.

He has lived and worked in Asia, Africa and Portugal over a12 year period and has coached leaders across a number of different cultures and nationalities.

David is a Member of the Association for Coaching and has a Masters Degree in Coaching and Mentoring Practice
